It is an honor to be nominated for the 2017 Good ‘Burger Awards. The team here at Cyberlicious® has worked tremendously smart and hard. We could not be where we are today without the support of our Chamber of Commerce, and the St. Petersburg community. We hope we have done enough to earn your vote.

Cyberlicious® Good ‘Burger Application
1. General Description
At Cyberlicious®, where our tagline is “Digital Candy for Sweet Results®,” we are a team of enthusiastic, inquisitive, and analytical business intelligence and marketing technologists. The “digital candy” we create fosters the success of our clients – many of whom are themselves based in St. Petersburg and the broader Tampa Bay area. The “sweet results” are products of the agile, data-driven model that our company advocates. The work we perform leverages carefully curated tools to improve exposure. Conscientiously refining our efforts, we integrate design and usability in a digitally mediated environment.
Of course, like any business-to-business company, Cyberlicious® should be measured in terms of our ability to provide value to our clients. In that sense, the basic idea behind our brand is to satisfy the customer’s “sweet tooth” through an online experience that is focused on serving them and treating them as VIP guests – while simultaneously conveying a brand’s voice, establishing authority, and driving action.
The three guiding qualities that describe what we want in digital presentation are “wow” (impressive and head-turning), professionalism (grounded and credible), and brilliance (fresh and original). Similarly, to provide a stronger service than our clients can find anywhere else, we focus on three differentiating qualities: intelligence (strength of data), competition (quantitative/qualitative review), and behavioral analysis (consumer psychological research). To meet these parameters, we hand-pick our partners: Cyberlicious® only continues with clients who want to #LevelUp to the spectrum of conventional, evolving, and emergent demands; be savvy about marketing and advertising; and extend sufficient creative control for positive ROI.
A small but growing business, we are constantly recalibrating and evolving to achieve our long-term vision of acknowledgment as a benchmark technology company. In fact, the company is now pivoting to incorporate research leadership on emergent IT fields – particularly nanotechnology, AI, and quantum computing.
2. A Good ‘Burger is a business, organization, or individual in greater St. Pete making a positive impact in our community. What makes you a Good ‘Burger?
We believe we have a responsibility to St. Petersburg and are dedicated to serving those around us. By partnering with local businesses such as AtRidge Landscaping & Irrigation, we create win-win relationships that help the St. Pete economy to thrive. By partnering with nonprofits such as Voices of Hope for Aphasia, we inspire connection with vulnerable members of our community who struggle to be heard. By supporting local businesses, our brand gives back to the community with our wallet. Through small-business family ownership, our husband-wife leadership team is actively involved in the Chamber of Commerce, local PTA, and youth sports; in that way, engaged citizenship is infused within the Cyberlicious® mission.
Our founders, Sarah and Ben Guest, attend weekly Chamber events. We share knowledge related to our niche, hosting classes for Chamber Members related to online visibility – training on topics such a Google products, social media platforms, and digital advertising. Sarah is on the Ambassador Council, in which she mentors new members to help their businesses grow. She also leads the monthly New Member Orientation, as well as participating in other signature Chamber events and initiatives. Ben is a Chamber Marketing Committee Executive. The founders are also passionate about and involved with philanthropic efforts to benefit Alzheimer’s therapies, animal welfare, and child health and education.
Cyberlicious® is dedicated to ethics and accountability, operating with transparency and holding ourselves to the highest standards. If we are to do the right thing for the business leaders who are our neighbors, it is our duty to act in their best interests. We are committed to core ideals that concern how we can best serve from dual perspectives of technology and commitment. While our company’s insight on application integration and applied behavioral analysis wins our local partners’ confidence, it is our compassion and vested interest in their success that earns their trust.
In the age of open sourcing and with how-to, DIY insight directing the flow of online traffic, Cyberlicious® has gotten the memo. In the spirit of freely accessible help and knowledge sharing, we resist the desire to hoard our strategies. Instead, we foster development via the provision of high-quality resources that share our insights with local businesses and, by extension, their business and consumer clients. We do not just supply fish but teach how to fish; and we increasingly inform in this manner, realizing that we can help different businesses in different ways – that our real prowess is in ongoing and holistic intelligence more than any individual tactics.
This focus on educating and empowering, rather than simply offering a service, is at the root of our mission. Cyberlicious® was created because our founders saw that many businesses had lost touch with their customers by failing to keep pace with technological advances.
Everyone knows how well thought leadership can contribute to the value of a brand, and specifically how strong technology and online content can lead to the establishment of Internet authority. By treating every touchpoint as a teachable moment, Cyberlicious® is able to focus on informing rather than convincing. Through development of helpful marketing collateral and useful systems, we fuel our partners’ profitability.
What we strongly believe at Cyberlicious®, and what really provides meaning to the more repetitive aspects of the day-to-day work that we perform, is that powerful technology is essential to any company’s ability to grow, develop, and continue to compete. The success of other businesses in our community isn’t just nice for those invested in the firm; in fact, when a business grows at the local level, it results in a more robust economy and more dynamically energetic culture – and, in turn, a better quality-of-life for all St. Petersburg residents. By facilitating industry and market leadership with online technology and content marketing, and in general with brand image, we help St. Petersburg businesses build smartly, using their mission and vision as a guide. In this manner, we help the people of St. Pete fulfill their business objectives and dreams.
At Cyberlicious®, we aren’t an island: we aren’t just building a brand but are converging, collaborating, and ideating through a network that is populated heavily by member organizations of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce. We talk above about the impact on the economy when we help other local businesses thrive. The other truth is that the growth of our partners and their missions advances the ability of other companies to make meaningful commitments to the community as well. For instance, our partner AtRidge (mentioned above) is focused on sustainability, so we helped the company advance its mission through development of its “We Nurture Nature” campaign.
Our dedication to our partners will persist, and our commitment to the community serves as a source of inspiration. Local integration will always anchor our company; and our work with local businesses and to benefit local charities will expand as we grow.
3. How can your company continue to grow/expand and contribute to the community?
Our success is St. Pete’s success. As we continue to grow over the next five years, we plan to hire more than 25 of St Pete’s finest local digital marketing superstars. We envision a partnership with local design, development, and coding schools for an internship and hiring program (Iron Yard, as well as USFSP, SPC, Eckerd College). We want to attract local partners that may be lacking in technology and marketing systems but have a respect for digital tools and incredible content in terms of their value. As we continue to develop and build further momentum, we wish to be viewed as a community leader and intend to promote the local St. Pete culture.
Earlier this year, we moved into our new office in downtown St. Petersburg. These new headquarters entrench us in the city in a manner that wasn’t previously possible. From the 8th floor of the BB&T building (First Central Tower) on Central Avenue, we can see downtown and the water. Functionally, this new home gives us the capacity to offer seminars and workshops to fellow business owners in our own space. Culturally and psychologically, it makes us more invested and integrated into the place of St. Pete.
Furthermore, the founders are now more heavily invested in growth after intentionally stalling for a few years while they focused on raising young children. Our resurgence of activity has led to the creation of promotional items (including branded polos, T-shirts, and flash drives) with the help of fellow Chamber Members. We are recirculating a substantial portion of profits back into our business and supporting local efforts, using our own marketing expertise and analytic capabilities to accelerate our own growth – exemplifying the kind of conscientious, tech-savvy stance we advocate.
From our elevated perch within this city that we know and love, we will continue to partner with the St. Pete Chamber to host free trainings for Members on components of Google Local and other key search tools. Alongside the Chamber, we will remain a perennial sponsor of Small Business Week. With Ben continuing his work as a Marketing Committee Executive for the Chamber, we will help strategize ways to encourage new membership and retention of current Members.
We will give our time to the nonprofit causes that give us a sense of meaning beyond our business goals. The founders will remain active in the PTA and youth sports.
As we grow, we won’t lose track of our foundation – the local network of businesses that has been our seedbed, allowing us to take root. Just as other entrepreneurs and executives have helped us along the way, we will turn back and give others a hand as they take their own initial steps on their business journey.
4. What is your corporate mission statement?
Help businesses grow by increasing their exposure both online and offline. Provide intelligence based on careful data analysis, allowing our partners to make informed business decisions. Practice what we preach, following the same delicious recipe we use to grow our partners, AMASS: Attain, Measure, Analyze, Strategize, and Succeed.
Attain – Tap a sweet supplier with proven results.
Measure – Track your marketing efforts, ensuring the right amount of each ingredient.
Analyze – Review your recipe with granular traffic source data and behavioral insight.
Strategize – Blend and tweak for taste by optimizing, testing, and automating.
Succeed – See powerful ROI as your customers enjoy your digital candy and convert.
5. How does your company and its employees “plug-in” to the community? Describe any internal mentoring or employee resources available for personal or professional development.
We care about St. Petersburg in our minds and hearts, philosophically and emotionally. We want to preserve this city and continue to make it the best place to live, work and play – safe and healthy for generations to come.
We attended the St. Petersburg Mayor’s March for Independents, led by Mayor Rick Kriseman, in May. Our active involvement in the St Pete Chamber allows us to stay in the know about the ‘Burg. We promote and help spread the word to our friends and fellow independent business owners in St Pete to get away from their desks, out of their four walls, and become involved as well. Along with the efforts that we use to provide value to local businesses, we will continue to sponsor small business week with the St. Pete Chamber annually.
Internally, we offer our team of digital superstars personal and professional development through online training subscriptions and workshop allowances.
6. What was your most important milestone in the last year? For example, hiring your 10th employee, taking a new product to market, moving into a new facility, ect.
Moving into our new office space in the BB&T building on Central Avenue has allowed us to position ourselves, physically, as a core St. Petersburg player. We are currently focused on formulating our business to match our vertical rise and burgeoning revenue. We will generate jobs and bring technology to St. Pete – fostering a “Sandy Silicon.” This new office space will provide the location and resources to make this all happen.
